The head of Sadoyava village couldn’t stop thinking about the cloth he saw at the scene. What worried him was it embedded the very symbol which represented the people who used the forbidden magic. A magic considered so evil that practicing it had a punishment of crucifixion.
Meanwhile, the warrior decided to avoid the direct path, for the enemy would anticipate that. Thus, he decided to go through the forest instead. That forest, called “Dark Woods”, was no ordinary forest. Legend had it that once two great kings fought. The King of Kardshive, a place under which all the Seven villages fell, tricked the enemy into believing that he was running for his life, and he went through the forest. But when the enemy king followed the King of Kardshive into the forest, before they could figure it out, everything changed. None of them survived but the king of Kardshive. He too was traumatized enough to never tell what happened.
The seven villages weren’t always fighting. Peace and prosperity prevailed the villages once. One could go from one village to another without the concern of the elders. One could trade and perform magic. Magic was something sacred to them, but a king thought otherwise. It was said he lost a child because of it. So, he ordered all of it to be banned with immediate effect. The king was not evil, but had seen the dark side of magic. And eventually, he decided to get rid of all the preachers.
Aki awakes and finds himself in the dark cell. He was not able to comprehend what was going on. A man wearing coarse clothes, with a long beard and a face that might have been a tomato with some hair over it, handed him a plate of food and groaned “Eeeeat Tttaaat”. He wanted to ask why is this happening to him. But as frightened as he was, he could not utter a single word.
The Warrior entered the “Dark Woods”. It felt like a normal forest at first, but the surprise was yet to come. As he moved on, he started hearing distinct voices. Suddenly, an old lady emerged out of nowhere startling him. Her voice, which felt unworldly, said not to be afraid. “I am here to help you.” “Who are you and why would you help me?”, questioned the Warrior. “That is irrelevant. What is important is that you cannot possibly leave this place without our help.” No one knew what to do, so they decided to acknowledge her help. She showed them where Aki was and how to get there. The old lady pointed her finger towards a tree. This tree had doors, not just one but multiple shinning doors. She pointed at the door they had to enter. Before going into it, the old lady gave the warrior a mirror and told them it is capable of showing them how to free Aki. As they entered the door, in an instant, they were on the other side of the forest.
